Erika Adler completed her magical senior year in XC with a California CIF State Runner-up finish.  Her 2^nd place time of 17:26.1 was a photo finish with the winner of 17:25.6.  Normally XC times are only recorded to the full second but in this case it was so close they needed to break the tie of 17:26.   Her time places her among the greats in girls CIF State XC, just behind NHS Bethan Knights on the all-time NHS list.  She also ranks 12^th fastest of all-time in Division 2 CIF State on the 5000meter course at Woodward Park, Fresno.  Erika first season in Northwood’s XC has been amazing. 

In addition, her performance also earned her an automatic entry into the NIKE National Championships race in Portland, Oregon next Saturday, December 3. With her CIF State runner-up, Erika completed a surreal season, racing against literally hundreds of the best runners in the county, CIF and STATE over the past 3 months. She was the Woodbridge Classic winner, 2nd at the OC Championships race, the PCLeague Champion, and 4^th in CIF Southern Section Division 2 . Indeed, she solidified her place among the truly great OC runners.
