XC Photographers

XC 2011 PhotographersThank you to our parent volunteer photographers!

After 4 years with NHS and their sports programs, I can't begin to tell you how important photos are to the athletes, coaches and parents.  The memories of high school, captured forever.

We don’t expect parents to take pictures at every event, it’s just helpful to take pictures at the events you attend.

Be sure to take pictures of all the NHS athletes and not only your child.  Of course, you will always have more of your own athlete, and that's OK but we want to make sure everyone gets a photo as best we can.

Not only will your photos be posted to the website, but they will also be saved for the end of year slideshow presentation.  So don't forget to snap pictures of the kids when they are not racing and are just hanging out and having fun, these are some of the best memories.

Here is what you need to do:

Bring your digital camera to any of the meets, set yourself up in 1 location or find a few locations that you can crisscross easily (remember these kids are fast and you can only beat them with short cuts).   Now, start snapping those photos - and lots of them.  Really - I mean, take a lot of photos (it isn't unusual to take 200 to 300 photos - so have at it.

To submit your photos:

  • Upload your photos using Googles Picasa.
  • Make sure to select "Public" for viewing rights, otherwise no one will be able to view them except you and me.
  • View your album and select "Share" from the right side menu bar in Picasa.
  • Send me an invitation to your photos via email (nhsxc-tf@cox.net) and I will insert your album via a slideshow.

Thanks again and happy snapping!
